p90x combined with convict conditioning

How Do You Combine P90X and Convict Conditioning?

Maybe the question that you need to ask yourself is--

Should you combine P90X and Convict Conditioning?.....

The Answer is maybe,
but you need to understand what you're dealing with in these two awesome programs:

P90X is periodized resistance and interval based training.

It's mostly focused on metabolic, endurance, and strength programming based on specific time period training cycles (90 days for the most part),

Whereas Convict Conditioning is more of a philosophy of strength training to use for life.

Now, there are a lot of similarities,
as P90X relies heavily on Calisthenics with some weight-training too.

And Convict Conditioning does provide sequences and structure including example programs but it mostly shows progressions to advance the big 6 calisthenics moves.

SO, to combine P90X and Convict Conditioning as part of your overall training program--you will need to modify the scheduling of your workouts.

 Maybe a schedule like this:
(it's aggressive -you will be working out a lot so a good fitness base is needed and optimal nutrition)

Monday: Convict progressions on: Push-ups, Leg Raises, & Bridges,

Tuesday: Convict progressions on: handstand Pushups, squats, pullups

Wednesday: KenpoX, MMX, Kenpo+ or CardioX

Thursday: P90X Plyometrics or P90X2 Plyocide

Friday: P90X Chest&Back (or P90X+ total body, P90X2 Total Body)

Sat or Sun: Yoga X, X-stretch, Yoga X2, or One on One Yoga

You'll get the best programming from P90X using this sequence and two hard core days to work on the progressions in Convict Conditioning for Max strength.

After 30 days, take a break from all and do the recovery week in the x schedule, then start it back again.

And that's how you can combine p90x and convict conditioning.
